HP has launched its new convertible tablet, called HP EliteBook 2740p. It is first of society Tablet PC Pro and HP EliteBook 2730p with similar, but more features. The HP EliteBook 2740p Tablet packs a durable body with a combination of stainless steel and magnesium, which correspond to the resistance to dust, humidity and vibration 810G U.S. military specifications (MIL-STD 810G line). HP EliteBook 2740p Dimensions of Convertible Notebook and Tablet are 1.25 x 11.42 x 8.35 inches and weighs 3.8 pounds (with battery).
HP EliteBook 2740p Notebook and Tablet convertible boasts a low voltage Intel Core i5/i7, 8 GB of RAM, 160GB/250GB hard drive, and optional 80GB/160GB SSD. The HP also 2740p 12-inch multi-touch display with 1280 × 800 resolution and supports pens, and a Qualcomm Gobi 3G modem. It features WiFi (b / g or a / b / g / N), Bluetooth 2.1, 2 megapixel webcam, and a 6-cell 44WHr battery with up to five hours in use.
There is a base extension ultra-thin with additional prize of $ 299. This base is home including outside DisplayPort, a DVD burner, and eSATA port. The HP EliteBook 2740p will be available at a starting price of $ 1.599 in early April 2010.
