Japanese operator KDDI and Sharp has announced its new cellular mobile internet device, namely KDDI Sharp IS01 and KDDI Sharp JN-DK01, which is running 1.6 of the Android operating system. Sharp IS01 will be available in the colors black and blue, while Sharp JN-DK01 is only in brown.
New Sharp IS01 is executed in the form factor mini-notebook. It has a QWERTY keyboard, a 5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 480 × 960 pixels, a 5.27 megapixel camera, a 0.43 megapixel camera for video calls, Wi-Fi 802.11b / g, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, infra-red port, FM transmitter, 4 GB of onboard memory, microSDHC card slot and 1Seg digital TV receiver.
The Sharp supports IS01 CDMA 1x EV-DO Rev.A network cell.
Dimensions of Sharp IS01 are 83 × 149×17.9 mm and weighs 227 g. In addition, Sharp and KDDI also announced the release of Sharp JN-DK01. It is almost a complete copy of IS01 Sharp.
