PQI has decided to deploy a USB 3.0 device for the masses in the form of the PQI CoolDrive U368, whre the model is capable of achieving data transfer speeds up to 105MB / s, and even if it is the limit from taking full advantage of the supplied USB TurboFlash software will be able to see another increase.
One thing is for sure though, the PQI U368 CoolDrive will not be this pocket of the environment (relatively speaking) between when other USB flash drives you’ve probably become accustomed over the years, no thanks to 90.1mm x 11.1 mm x 22mm measurement. If you opt for the entry level 8GB model, there are also other abilities to choose if you have deep pockets – they speak of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities.
No idea on pricing or availability at press time, but expect to pay a premium for flash drives USB 3.0 for the time until the technology becomes more commonplace.
