Seagate BlackArmor adds to the line of the new Seagate BlackArmor NAS 400 network storage server series of four hard drive bays designed for growing storage needs of small businesses and households. The 400 NAS is available in three models, the diskless NAS 400, NAS 420 2 pre-installed hard drives (2TB, 4TB) and 2 empty bays, and 440 with NAS-4TB 8TB.

The NAS 400 supports RAID 0/1/5/10 BlackArmor and JBOD drive configuration, Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008 and DLNA. It has two Ethernet ports for network connection and four USB ports for connecting external USB storage.

The NAS BlackArmor 400 server gives customers the option to install the disks of their choice by choosing from a variety of certified products, including Seagate Seagate Barracuda drives low power, 3.5-inch Barracuda 7200 rpm or New Barracuda XT hybrid drive.
