Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex just launched a new line of external hard drives that can connect to most interfaces (USB 2.0, USB 3.0, FireWire 400, FireWire 800 and eSATA) so that users get the best of the connectivity they have on their computer.

For Mac users, there is an interesting pilot NTFS for Mac, which means you can use a Windows (NTFS) drive on Mac, without re-formatting – unless you plan to use the drive with Time Machine. To achieve this, the GoFlex Seagate comes with many types of cables and is probably ready for future ports.
Flexibility is also a price, however the price per GB is higher than the existing competitive products. It is expected from this type of product, so it’s up to you to balance your desire for flexibility and the price you’re willing to pay for it. 5400 drives: 320 GB ($ 99.99), 500GB ($ 139.99), 750GB ($ 179.99), and 1TB ($ 229). 7200 drives: 500GB ($ 159.99) and 750GB ($ 199.99). Check out our hands on the pictures in the galleries after the jump.
